Store delivery is often the simplest choice when the available slot works and the whole order can arrive together.

A separate van collection becomes useful when you already have a ready Click & Collect order, the items will not fit your car or the store slot does not match the delivery plan.

Choose store delivery when

• the retailer has a suitable slot
• the full order is available together
• the delivery terms match where you need the items left
• you do not need a separate collection route

There is no benefit in adding another service when the store already covers the job you need.

Choose a separate collection when

• the order is ready for collection
• the items are too large for your vehicle
• you need delivery to a different address
• the store collection window is fixed
• the order needs one van and a clear carry-in plan

Example: a ready flat-pack order

Imagine an order containing a bed frame, mattress, chest of drawers and several flat-pack boxes.

The store has marked the order as ready. The customer lives in a second-floor flat. There is a lift, but the mattress dimensions have not been checked.

Before booking the van:

1. Confirm the collection store.
2. Confirm the order is ready.
3. Check that a third party may collect it.
4. List every package and large item.
5. Add the collection reference.
6. Check the mattress and lift dimensions.
7. Add parking and floor details at the delivery address.

Do not book from the order total alone

Two orders with the same value can need very different van space.

The item list matters more than the amount spent. A small number of long flat-pack boxes may need more usable space than many compact boxes.

Add the full list rather than writing “IKEA order”.

Confirm the collection rules

The retailer decides what proof or reference is needed at collection. Check the current order instructions before sending a driver.

Use the booking notes for the collection name, reference and any store instructions. Do not add payment-card details or unnecessary personal information.

Plan the delivery end

Store collection is only half the job.

Tell Boxra about stairs, lifts, parking, carrying distance and who will receive the order. Make sure the route into the property is wide enough for the largest package.

The driver arrives for the listed collection and delivery. Assembly is not included unless a separate service explicitly says so.
