Both can be right. The deciding question is whether the waste is ready for one collection or will build up over time.
A junk run is a listed pickup. A skip stays on site while you fill it.

A skip may suit

- waste being produced gradually
- a large amount of heavy material
- a site with safe space for the container

A road skip may need permission. Check the provider and local requirements before ordering one.
Example: a flat clear-out
Imagine a customer has one old sofa, one mattress, a broken chest of drawers and ten bags of household items.
Everything is ready. The property has no driveway. The customer wants the load removed in one visit.
That is the shape of a junk run. The booking should list every item, the load size, stairs and parking.
Example: a bathroom renovation
Now imagine tiles, packaging and rubble being produced across a week while work continues.
The final amount is not ready to list. Heavy material will be added each day. That is closer to a skip or a specialist waste plan than a simple one-trip collection.
List the load honestly
Do not hide bulky or heavy items inside “general waste”.
Select mattresses, fridges, freezers, tyres, rubble, soil and plasterboard clearly. These items can need separate handling, a separate charge or manual review.
Large loose loads and specialist waste may not be suitable for instant booking.
Items that need a different route
Hazardous materials, asbestos, paint, gas containers and clinical waste need specialist handling. They should not be placed into a normal Boxra junk booking.
When you are unsure what an item contains, identify it before booking rather than asking the driver to decide at collection.
Access still matters
A small load can take longer when it must be carried down several flights or from a rear garden with no direct access.
Add floors, lift, parking and carrying distance. Upload clear photos showing the whole load, not only the easiest items.
What happens when the load is larger
The booked price covers the listed load.
When extra items appear, the driver must request a Change Order in the app. You can approve or decline it. There is no free-text doorstep charge and no cash payment.
